History
Edgewood Baptist Church was founded in 1959 as a mission plant of First Baptist Church of Walterboro. The Church was formally constituted on September 27, 1959. Over the years many fine ministers have served the congregation of Edgewood Baptist Church. Several have been ordained into a life of ministry and many more have come to understand the gift God has given them through the ministry of this congregation. Edgewood has flourished in God's service and through His love.
Among the many ministries of EBC we are proud to count Sunday School Program, Women's Missionary Union, Men's Ministries, Youth Ministries, Vacation Bible School, Food Pantry Ministry, many others. The future is brighter still for Edgewood Baptist as we strive to be found more and more effective for God's Kingdom. Our goal is to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ with everyone we meet.
